Whangamata area manager Garry Towler says the property is zoned for industrial use in the both the Operative and Proposed District Plan, and is a very large site which has good access.

'The property has been on the market one day and we've already had interest from a number of parties.

'The site has been owned by council for a long time and leased to various people over the years but is now vacant and is no longer needed for council purposes.”

The property was listed on Trade Me on Wednesday of this week and is being sold by tender, with a close date of Wednesday, November 18.
