Tauranga pools: good enough?

Tauranga City Council is seeking the public's opinion of the city's swimming pools through an online survey.

The questionnaire is a tool in generating public feedback on the city's pool operation for inclusion in the Tauranga City Council's Aquatics Strategy Review.

Baywave.

This review looks at each of the city's pools (Baywave, Greerton, Memorial, Otumoetai, Mount Hot Pools), what issues there are, and what needs to be done to address these.

To date, about 230 survey responses are returned, but the council is hoping for more responses to the questionnaire, which asks questions such as:

What do you think about the city's pools? Is there enough room? Are they clean? Do you have to travel far? Do they offer things that you would expect?

The questionnaire return date is April 8.

What a question, we have to many, to much to often already. the burden of cost is huge and the beach is just down teh road.

I cant access the link to the questionaire. My gripe is why do pool management allow pool users to wear more clothes in the pool than they do out?? Why cant we just make rules stick anymore - wear swimming gear when swimming - not shorts, not tee shirts, not singlets?? DH

Pools themselves may be good enough for the public and fit for purpose. It is the clowns that are running the outfit that are the real worry and problem.
