A crash involving three vehicle is being reported near Te Puke this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says emergency services are at the scene of what looks like a serious crash on Te Puke Highway, near Manoeka Road.

"There are two cars and a truck. There are also police, firefighters at the scene.

"It looks like the road is blocked."

A police spokesperson says they are at the scene of a car versus truck at the intersection of Te Puke Highway and Manoeka Road.

"We were alerted shortly before 8am to the crash.

"St John are also there and have advised us there are two people reported to have serious injuries and one person with moderate injuries."

A reporter at the scene says there is a diversion along Manoeka Road.

"There is heavy traffic volumes on the diversion route."
