UPDATE: There is one new case of COVID-19 to report in managed isolation in New Zealand today.

Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says today's case is a woman in her 30s, who arrived from London last Thursday.

She was staying at the Novotel in Auckland and is now in the quarantine facility in Auckland.

"It has now been 81 days since a case was acquired locally from an unknonw source.

"Today's new case brings the total number of active cases to 27.

"No one is needing hospital care for COVID-19."

The total number of confirmed cases is now at 1205.

Yesterday, laboratories carried out 1007 tests and, to date, there have been 444,176 tests carried out.

On Monday's case is a man in his 40s who arrived in the country last Wednesday from Mexico, flying via Los Angeles.

He tested positive following day 3 surveillance testing and has been transferred, along with his family, to a quarantine facility in Auckland, says the Ministry of Health.

The number of active cases in New Zealand is now 26.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is now 1204, which is the number we report to the World Health Organization.
