UPDATE: One new case of COVID-19 is being reported in managed isolation today.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says today's case is a woman in her 20s, who arrived to New Zealand from Afghanistan on July 14, via Dubai.
"She tested negative on day three of testing and then returned a weak positive test on day 12."
She was staying in managed isolation in Hamilton and has now been transferred to a quarantine facility in Auckland.
Ashley says this case shows the importance of testing at day three and day 12, as not all people show signs of the virus early on.
"It has now been 88 days since a case was acquired locally from an unknown source.
"One of the previously reported cases is now considered to be recovered, so the number of active cases remains at 21."
Ashley says there are no people requiring hospital care for COVID-19.
The current number of confirmed cases is now 1207. Ashley says today's new case will be reported to the WHO.
He says yesterday, 1107 tests were carried out - 872 were in the community and the balance was for those in managed isolation facilities.

What we know so far
On Monday, there were no new cases of COVID-19 to report.
It had now been 87 days since the last case of COVID-19 was acquired locally from an unknown source.
The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 remains at 1206, which is the number we report to the World Health Organization.
There were no new recovered cases reported, which means the total number of active cases in New Zealand's managed isolation and quarantine facilities remains at 21.
On Sunday, laboratories completed 550 tests, bringing the total number of tests completed to date to 456,227. 270 of these were swabs completed from managed isolation and quarantine facilities.

... a pretty good picture. I was talking to a friend in Melbourne yesterday; it is chaos there and people just won't play the game. We can consider ourselves very lucky.
