Greerton resident Sally Blockley has been cultivated her urban garden for about seven years and will showcase her hard work in this year's BOP Garden and Art Festival.

Sally has transformed her small residential property from a regular section, into an amazing garden space.

When she first bought the property, she had tenants and made an arrangement to come in every 13 weeks and work on the landscape.

Now it is complete, she feels proud to be able to show it off.

'I have been through a number of these tours and have admired so many gardens,” Sally says when talking about the festival.

'So I feel proud and privileged to be able to do this.”

Sally says her nana has always been an inspiration to her.

'She was a step ahead of her time when it came to her garden arts and floral arts.

'She has a big footprint over this garden.”

Sally says she wanted to bring the art deco shape of her home, into the walkways in her garden.

Festival director Marc Anderson says this year's Garden and Arts Festival is going to be big, bright and beautiful.

He says Sally's garden is one of the 80 gardens that will be featuring in this year's festival.

Marc says the November 19-22 event will be laden with plenty to please, incorporating both the ever-popular garden and art trail, and Bloom in the Bay's many family-friendly facets. Read more here.
