People have received moderate and minor injuries following a three-car crash in Whakatane this evening.
Five people have been injured as a result of the collision which occurred at the Whakatane River Bridge on SH30.
One person has moderate injuries and four others have minor injuries.
Police say that a person is trapped in a vehicle.
Fire and ambulance were also called to the scene.
