The NZ Transport Agency reports that there is flooding across State Highway 2 near Matata this morning.

Water is flooding across the highway between Pikowai and Matata.

Motorists are advised to take care and drive to the conditions.

The location of the flooding is 1.75km southeast of Matata on SH2.
