What‘s on - festival, circus, and off-road racing

What's on today?

The Tauranga Multicultural Festival is a celebration of cultures of people living in our community. Come along to the Tauranga Historic Village from 10am – 5pm and enjoy food stalls, stage performances and craft stalls from all around the world. The parade of nations will take place at 12pm. Entry is by gold coin donation.

For those wanting help with immigration, there is a free immigration clinic today from 10am – 5pm at the Multicultural Festival at Tauranga Historic Village, 17th Ave.

Head to Te Puke for a Love the Western Bay Community Fun Day at Jubilee Park, from 4pm – 10pm. There will be food stalls, balloon twisting, face painting, a bouncy castle and an outdoor fim ‘Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs' thanks to Night Owl Cinema. The event is organised by Western Bay of Plenty District Council to encourage feedback about the Long Term Plan.

There is plenty of off road racing today at the NZ Nationals Round 1 at TECT Park. Gates open at 7am with racing from 10am – 3pm and prize giving at 4pm. Entry for non-crew and public is $20 each or $40 for a family.

The Extravaganza Fair is on at Soper Park, Mount Maunganui from 9am – 5pm. Entry is free.

Come and see what skating is all about at Skatescool Tauranga. There will be performances by some of the competition squad followed by a roller disco. The event runs from 4pm – 6pm at Skatescool Tauranga, 2 Rozanne Place with friendly coaches, a café with hot food and drink, and skate hire available. Entry is by gold coin donation.

The Omokoroa Toy Library is holding an Open Day from 9am – 1pm at 334 Omokoroa Rd, behind the Settlers Hall. There will be plenty of fun and entertainment includniog a toddler bouncy castle and roller coaster. Come and have a play and enjoy a sausage sizzle.

Have you been to the Lion and Tusk Museum yet? It's open today from 10am - 3pm at Unit 4, 14 Portside Dr, Mount Maunganui.
