Come and try your hand a disc golf at Bayfair Reserve today or tomorrow from 10am – 4pm. Come to the Russley Rd entrance. There will be 18 baskets, with a fun layout. $5 casual play or $10 to play scored rounds for some spot prizes and bragging rights. Pay on the day. The Complex Chronic Illness Support Inc are holding a CCI Support CFS/ME/Long Covid Seminar and 40th Celebration today, starting at 10am, at Daniel's in the Park. Speakers for the event are Dr Ros Vallings, Dr Sarah Dalziel and Emeritus Professor Warren Tate. This event is to keep CCI Support members, the medical community and other interested groups up to date with the latest worldwide research about chronic illnesses and how to best manage them. This also is a celebration of the 40 years CCI Support has been serving people in the Bay of Plenty. Members and invited guests are free. Members of the public $20 per person. This evening at 7.30pm join the New Zealand Cello Duo for a refined musical evening at Trinity Wharf. The evening features cellists Dominic Lee and Inbal Megiddo, along with a special performance by award-winning violinist Anna Lee. Also sit back and enjoy a short segment of cellist Dominic Lee interviewing locals impacting our community. Special guest MC of the evening will be Logan Craft.

The programme includes 'Bach Cello Suite 1' played by Inbal, 'Bach Cello Suite 3' played by Dominic, 'Melodie' by Tchaikovsky played by Anna and Maria Lee, and 'Passacaglia' by Johan Halvorsen played by Anna and Inbal. Following an intermission the programme continues with Conversations with Dominic, 'Barriere Duo' and 'Vivaldi Double Concerto' both played by the New Zealand Cello Duo, followed by 'God's grace' played by Dominic and Maria Lee. Shotgun is playing tonight from 7.30pm at Jack Dusty's Ale House. Shotgun is an electric blues band, with influences such as Los Lobos, John Mayall , Bondi Cigars, Red Devils, Clapton, Hendrix, Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Santana & Jeff Beck. Come enjoy a dynamic representation of the blues genre, with a diverse splattering of classic and modern blues numbers, played by Neil Ransfield - vocals, harmonica, and percussion , Chris Dunn - lead guitar and vocals, Garry Phillips - vocals and bass, and Dean McGaveston – drums.
