I found it quite ironic, while gridlocked in traffic on the corner of 15th Avenue and Fraser Street waiting to drive down to the Turret Road bridge, that Tauranga City Council has erected an enormous signboard on that corner thanking the government for funding an upgrade of Cameron Road.

If the government had of funded a three-lane tidal flow for traffic on Turret Road or removed the tolls on Takitimu Drive, that would have been worth the expensive sign.
