WATCH LIVE: The Gallagher Chiefs will take to the field at Queenstown's Recreation Ground for their final pre-season clash against their northern rivals the Blues and the Highlanders in a game of three halves on Saturday February 12.

The three squads will play two 40-minute halves against the opposing sides, which will be live streamed for fans to enjoy from 12.00pm on Sky Sport Next's YouTube channel.

Gallagher Chiefs Head Coach Clayton McMillan is once again keen to see his squad in action ahead of their opening DHL Super Rugby Pacific match against the Highlanders next weekend.

'We were pleased to have the opportunity to test ourselves against Moana Pasifika last weekend,” says Clayton. 'They exposed us in certain areas of our game, and we were pleased with the delivery of some of our systems at times. It has provided us with a good base to build on.”

'This final pre-season game will provide the final opportunity for individuals to stake their claim for the opening 23 next weekend. Competition is healthy amongst the team, which is exciting to see.”

'Once again we want to continue to evolve our game and provide the best preparation we can ahead of facing the Highlanders in the opening round.”
