Many of us do not care how the supposedly great and preferred job being done by the ‘Committee' but it is not democratic.

We want a democratically elected council and try to ensure those elected councillors are up to the job. It is not enough to continue with the ‘Committee' because it is thought they are doing a good job. It is up to the ratepayers of Tauranga to decide and not any ‘Committee' appointed by the Government. It's simply not democratic nor desirable and it should not be furthered - nor should it be applied anywhere in New Zealand.
