The Tauranga and Western BOP councils were reported as saying that additional glass collection will not be possible when this service is resumed., and also they will not 'not refund ratepayers for the current loss of the kerbside collection”.

This is unacceptable – ratepayers and residents have paid their respective councils to provide a service via collection of rubbish, and councils have contracted a company to collect that rubbish for them!

Who gets to keep the money for a service not provided........the councils or the contractors?
