After reading this column, I totally agree with it. Also, while I have driven trucks and being higher up it is easier to spot the empty heads on the road.

There is an obvious solution to the problem, and that is for a driver having to pass a mentality test before they can apply for a driver's licence. The positive flow-on effect would be less road congestion. We would have to strictly police the issue of driving without a licence and have extremely heavy penalties for it to the point where these empty heads get the message.
