Hi Tauranga folks. Simple question. Am I blind or not?

Driving about on a family jaunt on Sunday, August 7, I noticed a massive abundance of pink blossoming trees – all over the place. Is this a normal occurrence? Because it seems a whole lot more than what I have usually seen. Cheers.
