The promises of an MP

Should they mean a lot to you and me?

Or should we believe them at all?

When promised big changes,

turn out to be very small?

Huge fanfares announce something

fantastic on its way...

But turns out to be lukewarm.

Coffee and ‘waffle' cakes on a tray.

There again running a country

must be hard..

With so few choices and many

dissenting voices..

Democracy is a beast with

many faces.

A slow ponderous beast,

and not designed for the races.
