Any decision on the future of the Hunters Creek ski lanes remains undecided as submission hearings on the navigation and safety bylaw review continue.
The tribunal has heard submissions from Te Arawa in Rotorua says chairman and regional councillor Malcolm Whitaker.
Submissions from Hunters Creek residents who want the ski lanes closed were heard on August 4.
'We haven't finished as yet,” says Malcolm. 'It has been a bit of a mission.”
'Some people weren't informed of the dates for the hearings; there have been late submissions and all sorts of things. It's been a bit of a long process.”
He expects the tribunal, including councillors Raewyn Bennett and Andrew von Dadelszen, will be able to begin its deliberations after today.
'We might decide to go back and spend a bit more time on some things,” says Malcolm.
