TRG Imaging is expanding its imaging and diagnostic services into the Rotorua Lakes community with the installation of a new state-of-the-art Siemens CT Scanner at recently upgraded high-tech Haupapa St Rotorua clinic.

Improving health outcomes for patients continues to be a focus for the TRG team.

This new machine complements the brand-new Siemens 3T MRI machine that was installed at the Haupapa St site in November, bringing another cutting-edge diagnostic equipment to the local community.

Patients in the Rotorua Lakes region will now have local access to the full range of CT body imaging procedures including full-body imaging, colonography, musculoskeletal, oncology, obstetric, and cardiac imaging, all areas in which our clinical team is trained and experienced.

'The need to travel long distances to receive this level of diagnostic care or languish on waiting lists for CT imaging needs has been reduced. Our team of diagnostic experts is really excited to be able to provide their community with often life-changing diagnostic imaging, locally,” says TRG Imaging service manager, Debbie Cartwright.

A major benefit of the Siemens SOMATOM go.Top CT scanner is the ergonomic design.

The scanner is quieter, is more spacious, and faster than older models. It has high temporal resolution and a wider detector width, making it suitable for cardiac imaging.

'Having state of the art technology will ensure our patients are comfortable and relaxed during their scans allowing us to do higher-quality imaging,” says Cartwright.
