It can be a challenge to keep to the speed limit along Papamoa Beach Rd. It may be of comfort to some drivers that 5km takes six minutes at a speed of 50km/hr, and five minutes at an illegal speed of 60km/hr. Stick to around 50km/hr and know it's a negligible time difference.

I agree. I did a similar experiment when I used to regularly drive to Hamilton. Doing 110 instead of 100 got me there 15 minutes faster, cost me an extra 1/4 tank of gas, and increased my chances of a speeding ticket. It's just not worth it.
