What's on - light sculpture, art and a concert

What's on today?

Head along to Mount Maunganui Main Beach to see the giant 18-metre-wide light therapy sun sculpture titled 'Second Sun'. This will be at the beach until Sunday evening. Lights turn off at 8.30pm tonight and will be back on again Sunday morning at 5.30am.

Keen to view art from developing artsts? Go to The Peoples Gallery - Toi Ka Rere, Tauranga Historic Village to see an exhibition by the Senior Visual Arts students (Years 11-13) from Aquinas College. The students have produced over 50 artworks for their portfolios and take great pride in presenting them to the public in this wonderful space.This is the exploration of a range of art-making genres: photography, painting, design and sculpture. The exhibition is a sample of the artwork that the students have created this year.  The work is on display in The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere until August 12, open 10am-3pm Monday to Saturday.
