UPDATE September 28, 8.22am: The man initially reported as missing in Tirau has been located as of Tuesday, according to a police spokesperson.
"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance," reads a post by the Bay of Plenty & Taupo Police Facebook page.
The post was made on the evening of Sepember 26, at about 7.26pm.

EARLIER September 26, 7.51am: Police are appealing for any information that will lead them to the whereabouts of a missing man.
Warwick Penney Greenwood was last seen leaving his home address in Tirau around 8pm Monday night.
"He was wearing a dark green short sleeve tshirt, and dark green trousers, he has a tattoo on his left arm of a diesel fuel cap," says a police spokesperson.
"Police and Warwicks family have concerns for his welfare.
"If you have seen Warwick or have any information that may assist in locating him please contact Police on 105 if it is after the fact, or 111 if you have seen him recently.
"Please reference file number: 230925/6143."
