A man is facing a raft of driving related charges after allegedly driving into parked cars and road signs in Tauranga.
Police say they took a 49-year-old man into custody following a number of reports of crashes, most involving parked cars and road signs, on Sunday afternoon.
"Staff were notified of one collision at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Cameron Road around 4pm.
"The driver of one vehicle was assessed for minor injuries and the offending vehicle left the scene.
"After reports the vehicle had crashed into a further two parked cars on Cameron Road and a number of road signs on Fraser Street, the vehicle was signalled to stop by Police.
"The vehicle pulled over a short time later and the driver blew well over the legal limit for excess breath alcohol."
The man has been charged with excess breath alcohol, dangerous driving and failing to stop and will appear in court in due course.

These people need to not only loose their licence but their motor vehicle. I don't give a continental about their lives. I do care about the innocent third party loosing theirs or being seriously injured.
