Enquiries are underway into an early morning ram-raid in Tauriko.

A police spokesperson says they responded to reports of a burglary, "where a vehicle was used to gain entry at a shopping centre on Taurikura Drive, Tauriko, around 5.20am".

"A vehicle was located a short time later abandoned on Sycamore Rise, around 5.40am.

"A scene examination will be conducted, and enquiries are ongoing to determine what was stolen and identify those involved."

Anyone with information about the burglary can contact their nearest police station.
