Environment BOP will receive cost reimbursement following the judicial review process it went through last year when Whakatane District Council challenged its decision to relocate headquarters to Tauranga.
The High Court ruled in favour of Environment BOP, but an appeal was lodged by Whakatane District Council.
Environment BOP CEO Bill Bayfield says the organisation is focused on their Court of Appeal hearing in Wellington next week.
He says the organisation is anxious to have this matter finally resolved so that there is certainty for staff within the region about where the Environment BOP headquarters will be located.
"The High Court judicial review is now well in the past for us and the appeal is where we are focusing our energy."
Bill would not comment about the costs awarded to Environment BOP.
