Explosive devices have been recovered by Police during a search of a property in Ohauiti on Friday night.
During the search, neighbouring homes were evacuated of residents and the street cordoned off.
A SunLive reader has reported the presence of police and ambulance at the property in Aleisha Place at around 8.45pm.
"And the NZDF Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was there too," says a SunLive reader.
"Police executed a search warrant on an address in Aleisha Place last night [Friday December 15]," says a police spokesperson.
"For precaution, some of the neighbouring homes were evacuated, and the street cordoned off."
Police say that explosive devices were recovered as part of the warrant.
"Police wish to thank the local residents for their cooperation during the time," says a police spokesperson.
