Police can advise a man who was last seen in the Mt Pirongia area a week ago has been located deceased.

The man was last seen on Tuesday, December 12, at about 4:30pm, says a police spokesman.

Police say, the body was discovered by a member of Search and Rescue late last week.

Police say, the death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.
