Emergency services are attending the scene of a vehicle crash on State Highway 25 between Whangamata and Waihi.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advise that there are reports of a crash on SH25 blocking a lane near the intersection of Whiritoa Beach Rd, in Whiritoa.

"Delays in the area are likely,' says an NZTA spokesperson.

"Please follow directions of emergency services or response crews in the area upon arrival."
