Reggae festival set to hit Tauranga

New Zealand’s massive celebration of reggae music, One Love, is nearly here and it is set to make a massive impact in 2024.

More than 50 artists will come together on January 27-28 to for two days of good vibes and quality performances by some of the biggest names in reggae music.

This year’s festival is the biggest in its 10-year history and introduces a second stage celebrating Kiwi music, a fresh musical genre for the festival and hours more of quality entertainment.

International artists including dancehall party-starter Sean Paul, icon Shaggy, reggae legends UB40 ft Ali Campbell, Shaggy, the son of reggae royalty Bob Marley - Julian Marley, Australian-based JKing, who has dominated airwaves and TikTok feeds with his hits such as 'Unconditionally', 'Cinderella', 'Energy' and 'Falling in Love', British dancehall/afrobeats artist Stefflon Don, Nigerian afrobeats singer songwriter Oxlade, Fiji, J Boog, Third World, Common Kings, Maoli, Spawnbreezie, The Green, Latasha Lee, Josh Wawa, Eli Mac, Sione Toki, Josh Tatofi and Bradamon Band are all part of the line-up.

One Love Festival promoter Glenn Meikle said 2024 was the perfect time for a refresh of this much-loved event.

New Zealand musicians Sons of Zion, Sammy J, Nesian Mystik, House of Shem, 1814, Three Houses Down, Israel Starr, Corella and TJ & Huri, General Fiyah, Stndrd, Fejoint, Swiss, Tree, Tawaz, Jackson Owens, Mikey Dam, Chase Woods, Wayno, Pieter T, Deach, Son and Water, Mikey Mayz, Krisy Erin, Origin Roots Aotearoa, Mezmure, Brutha Rodz, NLC, Papa’s Pack, Mirage and Hone also join the line-up, adding the much-loved Kiwi reggae flavour to the event being held at the Tauranga Domain.

... they keep up the previous good work regarding noise levels. I don't want to rain on 20,000 people having a good time, but remember that "music" can mean different things to different people... Hope it stays fine for them.
