Two people have been taken into custody following a disorder in downtown Tauranga on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to a disturbance on The Strand just before 3pm.
People at the scene say there had been fighting and shouting near the end of Wharf Street.
When Police arrived they approached two people who were in the waterfront area near the playground.
The two people were arrested and taken across the railway crossing to two Police cars.
