Local cricket lovers can indulge themselves this weekend with watching Bay of Plenty play Hamilton in the NDCA Fergus Hickey Rosebowl at Tauranga Domain today February 3, and Sunday, February 4

Round four of the Versatile Williams Cup has plenty happening with Craigs Tauranga Boys College playing Eves Realty Greerton, and also the match up of the two teams from the Mount Maunganui isthmus, with Papamoa hosting Bond & Co Mount Maunganui at Alice Johnson Oval in Papamoa.

The two neighbours bring contrasting cricket history to the encounter.

Mount Maunganui cricket teams date back to the 1920s with the current Mount club having celebrated their 50th Jubilee in 2017.

Papamoa, are the new kids on the block, having been established as recently as 2018.

The Papamoa Cricket Club has made rapid progress with a Baywide premier side and two Western Bay of Plenty senior teams.

The club's greatest success has been to cater for the burgeoning junior cricket growth in their area.

Craigs Tauranga Boys' College team, will see a number of familiar faces when they play Eves Realty Greerton at TBC headquarters.

Andrew Friskney, Loughie Keaney and Billy Syme, have made successful transitions from Tauranga Boys to the Greerton premier ranks this season.

Sanford Wall Lawyers Central Indians, will host Element IMF Cadets at Smallbone Park, with Craigs Geyser City travelling to play Generation Homes Lake Taupo in the Great Lake region.

The Bay of Plenty senior representative team, will resume hostilities with their Hamilton counterparts, in a two day ND Fergus Hickey Rosebowl encounter at the Tauranga Domain over the weekend.

Allan Arora, will become the first Papamoa CC representative to be selected for the Bay of Plenty senior men's team, when he takes to the field at the Tauranga Domain.

The left-arm spinner has been in sterling form in Baywide cricket with his best being a six wicket haul.

Prior to the game kicking off, Josh Earl and Fergus Lellman, will be presented with BOPCA baggy caps to signify twenty-five games in the blue and gold uniform.
