The Waikato Eagles Golfing Society visited the Waihi Golf Club on Sunday, July 28, as part of their annual programme.
Twenty-six members of the society were joined by 24 Waihi members for a mixed competition, playing in ideal conditions on a well-prepared course.
After play, and preceded by a lively Sheriff’s session, the Eagles president Eileen Bateup presented Wendy Matutinovich, the Waihi vice-president with $760 from the Eagles Society to be used to promote Junior Golf in the club.
This capped off a most enjoyable day and was a very much appreciated gesture.
