Emergency services are attending the scene of a vehicle crash on State Highway 2 at Minden in the western Bay of Plenty.

"Police received a report of a three-vehicle crash on SH 2, near Wairoa River Bridge, around 6.30pm," says a police spokesperson.

"At this time, one person has been reported to have injuries.

"The road will be slightly blocked while emergency services attend the scene."

A fire truck from Tauranga Fire Brigade is also at the scene.

"Due to a crash westbound lanes are blocked on SH2 between Wairoa River Bridge and Te Puna," says an NZTA Waka Kotahi spokesperson.

"Pass with care and expect delays."
