A person has been transported to Tauranga Hospital following a crash in Otūmoetai.

A car has blocked Harbour Drive in Otūmoetai following a collision.

A moving vehicle has hit a stationary vehicle shortly before 3pm, said a police spokesperson.

"Hato Hone St John were notified of this motor vehicle incident on Harbour Drive at 2.53pm," said a Hato Hone St John spokesperson.

"One ambulance and one rapid response unit has responded.

"One patient in a moderate condition has been transported to Tauranga Hospital by ambulance."

People are being advised to expect delays in the area.
