GoTo Car Share is celebrating World EV Day on Monday, September 9 by offering free charging at its public charging station in Tauranga’s CBD.

Goto founder Steven Vincent says to take advantage of this offer, EV drivers can enter their details on the GoTo website before plugging into the public GoTo charging station between 00.01am and 23.59pm on this day to receive their charge session at zero cost.

It’s a day designed to shift the transition to sustainable transport for consumers, businesses and cities.

"Alongside the #FREECHARGE day offer, the GoTo team will be hosting an informal coffee morning on Monday, September 9 at 148 Durham Street from 7.30am until 9am," says Steven.

"Everyone is invited to come along to discover more about the benefits of car sharing, check out the fleet of EVs available, enter the draw to win a Tesla for the weekend AND score a free coffee from Folk Coffee."

Steven says GoTo Car Share leads the way in the region for car sharing services and is offering an innovative alternative to the traditional corporate car fleets for savvy businesses and teams.

"In support of World EV Day GoTo wants to reward existing and new customers for making the transition to electric vehicles, and are pleased to launch the first #FREECHARGE event in Tauranga," says Steven.

If they can afford an EV they can afford to charge it. Do us plebs get a free petrol day or perhaps a free power day?
