Monday mornings are tough, but for parents and preschoolers living in Pāpāmoa, the start of each new week will soon mean something totally different.

New friends and toys to play with, climbing equipment, trikes, bikes, cars and scooters, moon hoppers, balls, building blocks, and even a bouncy castle.

From this time next week, Monday mornings in Pāpāmoa will mean Tumble Time is on.

Starting September 16, the popular play programme for preschoolers will be held every Monday morning from 9.30am-12pm at Pāpāmoa Sports & Recreation Centre in Gordon Spratt Reserve – which you can enter via Parton Rd, and then Alice Lane.

Tumble Time will cost $6 per child.

“Come along and choose your own adventure,” Bay Venues Sport & Community activation manager Annalise Klay says.

“Tumble Time is all about play. It’s a fun way for our little humans to develop their physical and social skills. They can work on their balance, coordination, climbing, agility, and fine motor skills, while also mixing and mingling and meeting new friends. And the same goes for their parents.”

Each year there are more than 17,000 visits to Tumble Time sessions at Mercury Baypark Arena in Mount Maunganui and Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre in central Tauranga.

“We love seeing so many happy little faces each week and we can’t wait to bring Tumble Time a bit closer to home for the Pāpāmoa community and become part of their weekly routine.”

Monique O’Reilly, venue supervisor & event coordinator at Pāpāmoa Sports and Recreation Centre, is equally thrilled.

“At Pāpāmoa Sports and Recreation Centre, we offer a diverse range of activities for all ages and interests. It’s essential these opportunities are available to enrich lives and build a stronger, more connected community.”
