Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road closes temporarily

The detour route for the road closures starting Monday, November 4, from 8pm to 6am.

A one-way closure of State Highway 2 and Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road is required starting Monday, November 4, from 8pm to 6am.

The closures will last three nights, one direction at a time. The work is part of the Rangiuru Business Park Interchange project.

State Highway 2 and the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road will close the westbound lane on Monday, November 4.

Traffic from the Domain Road Interchange through Te Puke to the State Highway 2 and 33 roundabout at Pangearoa will be detoured.

The following evening, the eastbound lane closes, and a detour starts at the Highway 2 and State Highway 33 roundabout at Pangearoa.

The detour ends at Te Puke Highway, through Te Puke to the Domain Road Interchange.

Wednesday is a contingency day, which may be required if work on the lane is not completed.

Outside the closure times, the current temporary traffic management remains, with a single lane open in each direction and a temporary speed limit of 70 kilometres an hour.
