People traveling along State Highway 29 are being advised to expect delays.

A crash is being reported on SH29 over the Kaimai Range.

An NZ Transport Agency traffic alert says the northbound lanes are currently blocked.

"Please follow the directions of emergency services and expect delays."

A SunLive reader says emergency services are at the scene of the crash.

They say one vehicle is in the middle of the road and another is off to the side.

"It looks like a car and ute have collided.

"People should expect delays."

The reader says the crash is on SH29, just past the Kaimai School.

A police spokesperson says there is a two-vehicle crash on SH29 and the road is partially blocked currently.

"Ambulance have been notified."
