One person has been seriously injured at an incident at the Mount Maunganui wharves.
A spokesperson said St John was notified of a workplace incident on Hull Rd about 9.17am.
An ambulance, rapid response unit, and operations manager attended.
“One patient, in a serious condition, is being transported to Tauranga Hospital.”
A Port of Tauranga media spokeswoman confirmed emergency services attended an incident at the Mount Maunganui wharves.
“I don’t have any other details yet as Port of Tauranga staff [were] not involved,” she said.
A Maritime NZ spokesman said it was aware of the incident and it had staff onsite working to understand what had happened.

wasn't nice to see, he has serious leg injuries and probably be a long recovery,
