Creative construction adventures are sparking imaginations these school holidays at Tauranga Crossing.
Free hands-on construction workshops are activating children's imaginations to run wild at Under Imagination in the shopping mecca’s Department of Fun.
In celebration of the centre’s own transformation, Tauranga Crossing is building more than just retail space – they’re providing a world of creativity for kids to embark on their own inventive constructions.

From now until Sunday, April 27, children can dive into a dynamic world of crafts, construction, and imagination – all for free.
“With free craft activities running in bookable 30-minute sessions for kids aged 4 to 12, this makes for a really fun and engaging school holiday activity for families,” Tauranga Crossing Centre Manager Janet Vincent said.
“The theme we're bringing to life is "Tauranga Crossing is Under Imagination", a play on us being under construction - very fitting with the construction of our next extension happening outside.”

What will your child create? Will it be a speedy race car, a cosy dream house, a fierce dinosaur, or a funky robot? With endless possibilities, each child becomes the architect of their own adventure.
The workshops are being held daily between 10am and 3pm until April 27, excluding Good Friday and ANZAC Day.
Located on the ground floor of Tauranga Crossing, outside North Beach and H&M, each workshop runs for 30 minutes.
The sessions are free, but bookings are essential due to limited spaces.
Each week is bringing a new adventure. In Week 1, from April 12-19, kids will design and decorate anything they can imagine using a variety of building materials and custom-shaped blocks.

In Week 2 from April 20-27, kids choose from four awesome wooden flat-pack creations: a Birdhouse, Jeep, Elephant, or T-Rex – then bring them to life with their own decorative flair.
“This programme is all about giving kids the chance to get creative, have fun, and be inspired,” said Vincent.
“With Tauranga Crossing currently under construction we thought it was the perfect time to invite kids to build something amazing of their own.”

Under Imagination Scavenger Hunt
But that’s not all...
Kids can join the Under Imagination Scavenger Hunt. All they need to do is pick up a worksheet from the Concierge Desk, hunt for hidden letters throughout the centre, unscramble the secret word, and claim their instant prize. Plus, go into the draw to win one of ten child double passes to Event Cinemas every day.
And from 10am - 12pm on Saturday, April 26, there will be a special free in-centre face painting session.
