Two people have been injured following a crash in Tauranga.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of St John St/Eleventh Ave at 11.40am.
It appears one of the vehicles has hit the side of the ANZ Bank building.
“It looks like two people appear to have injuries,” said a police spokesperson.
“It looks like some of the road is closed while one of the vehicles is removed.”
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they were called to the crash at 11.40am.
“[We] responded with one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.
“Two patients were assessed and treated at the scene (both in a minor condition and did not require transportation to hospital).”
ANZ spokesperson said the branch is temporarily closed with no reopening time scheduled. Customers have been redirected to the Tauranga Crossing branch, Bayfair, or Papamoa.
