Night works to resurface Pyes Pā Road and Cheyne Rd between the SH29A roundabout and Braithwaite Lane will begin on Sunday.

The work is part of Tauranga City Council’s regular road maintenance programme.

A full road closure will be in place between 9pm and 6am on Sunday and Monday from the SH29A roundabout to just before the Cheyne Rd/Pyes Pā Rd intersection.

No access will be available onto Pyes Pā Rd from the SH29A roundabout during this time, with a detour via Ōropi Rd and Cheyne Rd.

Traffic management, including temporary lane closures, will extend onto the SH29A roundabout approaches while asphalt resurfacing is carried out.

Remaining resurfacing work on Pyes Pā Rd and Cheyne Rd will be completed under stop/go traffic management between Tuesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 27, weather dependent.

Drivers are advised to travel carefully through the works area, follow signage and allow extra time.

Works are scheduled from this Sunday to Thursday, November 27, between 6pm and 6am.
