Putting your name to it

Tauranga City Councillor Hayden Evans is claiming that two fellow councillors are hiding behind aliases in online comments being made about him on SunLive.
His suspicion is that comments left by Thomas Brown and Paul Onkers are from councillors Greg Brownless and Mike Baker.

Tauranga City Councillor Hayden Evans.

Neither Thomas Brown or Paul Onkers are in the phone book, or the electoral role, and are aliases, says Hayden.
Hayden and other councillors have taken an interest because some of the comments made by Paul Onkers appear to be from someone with a close knowledge of councillors and council doings.
Greg Brownless gave himself away when ‘Thomas Brown' appeared to have information only available to someone taking part in a conversation in the councillors' lounge, says Hayden.
Greg was confronted in the councillors' lounge on Tuesday, says Hayden, but neither confirmed or denied the accusation.
'I'm not Thomas Brown,” says Greg, 'I'm not a letter writer, it just gets you hooked into all sorts of arguments you can never win.
'It could be someone intending to run for council.
'I have no doubt people do write letters on behalf of others. Some people have supporters or attackers no matter what they do or what they say.”
Mike Baker categorically denies being Paul Onkers, saying he writes letters under his own name.
'I would never ever contemplate signing or doing anything if I wasn't prepared to put my name to it,” says Mike.

Over baked the cake ...

Mike Baker .... Someone dredging up "pick six" from three years ago is getting desperate, desperate because it diverts from the subject at hand as only Mike "overcooked" Baker can possible do, Mike must be having sleepless nights over the election already.. It is obvious that as an election approaches that dear Mike is the front line henchman to try and divert the public (and anyone he can) attention from what is really going on at City hall. Should Mike have placed as much attention, effort and diligent effort on the city hall rather than personal slander and so on then perhaps Mike would then be perceived has having done something of what was promised in the last election run up. Actions speak louder than words Mr Baker !

Dragging his feet

Mr Baker boy has taken two weeks to come back, clearly looking for something else than library charges (can only do one thing at a time) to think about. Mic you clearly have not understood what happened here, it is you who have forgotten to make the apology that is what everyone else is waiting for, I guess that the public at large will be awaiting a long time for that right ! Either you dont understand the result here or you are unable to engage your grey matter on more than one thing at a time ... a "male" evolutary limitation. To ease you pain here, we will all assume you have made your apology already and then we can then allow you to move onto more important things like "LIBRARY CHARGES", getting yourself on campbell live and making a bigger mess of your cause than having said nothing. Keep it coming Mic

To much self

Mr Barker, you are off subject again, the page all about Cr Evans, please just cu to the chase and place in writing your apology, then we can conclude this subject and move on to the mindlessly stupid concept of library charges that you are furiously back pedaling on and in particular the appalling interview with you on Campbell Live / TV3 where you were desperately trying to dig your way out sideways of your own self created cavern.

For Pick 6 councillor... Cr, Evans to believe that I am Paul Onkers is absolutelly ridiculous as I would always sign my own name and to think that I would not, reveals the true calibre of Cr. Evans as we are aware that he has frequently gone on witch hunts for people who have publically criticised him in the past. Maybe it is time for the leadership, of the Pick 6 Team, that "selected" him to stand at the last election to also do something to manage this councillor rather than continuosly accept his ways. Whoever Paul Onkers and Thomas Brown are keep up pressure as it is obviously working.

Exit teh closit Mr Brown

Posted on 26-03-2010 11:35 | By The Master

When one reads the various messages it is clear Mr Brown is not "Mr Brown" ! So as all is clear and transparent for all to see perhaps the real ID of "Thomas" or "Thomas Brown" or both should be tabled so as all are then well aware of who really is making the comments ... Perhaps you are real perhaps not which ever way it is time to crawl out of your "closit" and reveal all.

Credibility problem

Posted on 19-03-2010 11:36 | By thomas

Not sure if I m the Thomas Brown Cr Hayden Evans is referring to, or if I m simply Thomas. I ll remain just Thomas given Evans determination to get to anyone who dares criticise his behaviour. There s quite few of us on the electoral role so that should keep Evans busy for a while when he s searching it next. Evans is actually reported on Sunlive 1 March as having the ability to somehow track down people, quote I did a trace on the son of a gun . It s interesting that Evans doesn t attack or counter the comments of Onkers or Thomas or whoever. Instead he goes for the person or who he thinks the person might be, perhaps to get away from the real issues. As for credibility, now let me think, who would I tend to believe? A councillor who was paid by ratepayers but who hadn t paid his rates, eventually making a show of paying his rates only to have the cheque bounce , a councillor who had his guns taken away by the Police, a councillor who on Sunlive said he would go from a road safety committee only if the council wanted it , but who didn t and resigned first, a role model councillor convicted of drink driving? The sad facts speak for themselves, all have been publically reported and none are available only to councillors.

I doubt whether anyone would require 10 guesses to figure out who THE MASTER actually is. Sadly of course whilst I am always prepared to use my real name many other people seem to lack the courage to do the same.

Never an apology from Cr. Evans for accussing others of being people that they are not. One would have thought that by this time with all of his apparent expert skills that he would have been able to track down who Paul Onkers really is and cleared this matter up for all of us. Its however never to late to apologise for saying things that are blatantly not correct..... yeah right

By their mannerisms and their dialogue THE MASTER is certainly making it ever so easy to identify who they actually are but it would be good if they had the courage to clearly identify themselves BEFORE their identity is finally revealled. Keep it rolling but unlike you I am happy to clearly identify myself as I have nothning to hide unlike others.
