Fergusson Park users are being asked to be patient next week as Tauranga City Council fences off the park for three days from Monday.
The closure will allow contractors to repair the safety surface edging of the park.
Fergusson Park will be fenced off as repair work is carried out next week.
TCC says the playground will not be available to the public during this time and the work will take three days, weather permitting.
Meanwhile, wood sections of the Pilot Bay boardwalk are finished but work is still continuing on the concrete sections where the larger stormwater pipes, new catch pits and overland flow paths are being built.
TCC says works is also continuing at the Salisbury Wharf end.
