The grand-opening of the Cargo Shed took place last night.

Murray says the night was an excellent event.
'The Cargo Shed Collective truly put to bed any suggestion they would not be able to deliver on their promises and their dreams.
'Not only have they met their undertakings to Tauranga City elected members, they have exceeded them, with no ratepayer subsidy.”
He says the professionalism of their presentation to Tauranga City Council that secured the support of the elected members has been met and exceeded - amazing
"It is my experience on Council that more often than not, submitters 'over promise and under deliver' when in pursuit of community support."
The Cargo Shed Collective were given the keys to the council owned shed in a low key event in July.
Council decided in June to hand over the next year's lease of the shed to the collective as opposed to the previous managers Creative Tauranga after both parties presented future business shed options.
It came after months of disagreement between the previous leaseholders and stallholders over the management and marketing of the shed.
