Update: 8:30AM Close to 500 women are making a splash in Tauranga Harbour today as they take on the Generation Homes Women's Triathlon.

The women's only event begins at Pilot Bay this morning and sees ladies of all ages and fitness levels complete a 400m swim, 10km bike and 4km run/walk either individually or in teams.
Women can compete as individuals or as a relay team in the event, which is run by the Tauranga Triathlon Club.
The Generation Homes Women's Triathlon, sponsored by Sun Media, is on Sunday, February 16, at Pilot Bay from 8.30am.
There will be a bouncy castle and face painting for children in the Kids Zone.
