Tauranga City Library has reclaimed another of its prized areas from the mould outbreak, with the non-fiction section reopen to the public.
On the library's website today a statement announces the section is back in business after being closed due to test results showing an 'unacceptable count” of airborne stachybotrys mould during the outbreak last December.

'Remedial works have now been completed and the area has been cleared of any health risks,” reads the statement.
The reopening comes weeks after its learning centre reopened following more than a month out of action.
Pictures on the library's Facebook page show parts of the building still remain cordoned off by plywood walls as contractors continue to assess the full extent of the mould outbreak.
Last week Tauranga City councillor Steve Morris took to Twitter to reveal the extent of the mould problem inside the council's staff building.
'A first look inside TCC's leaky staff building. The latest of a few little legacies left to us by previous councils,” tweeted Steve via the social networking site.
To date there has been more than 500 staff movements since the black mould was first discovered along with other contaminants deemed not as harmful.
Surveyors continue to make progress on examining the building to identify where the water was leaking in, and the process will be finished sometime in March.

It's like a breath of fresh air. Maybe that is all the building needs as well...
