In a move to make meetings more accessible to the public the Waikato Regional Council will hold its council meeting in Paeroa on Thursday.
Full council meetings are normally held in Hamilton but late last year councillors decided to have several in other centres to be more accessible and to help build regional relationships.

This Thursday's meeting will be held in the Hauraki District Council's chambers at 1 William Street, Paeroa, at 10am.
'We invite the public to attend if they are interested in seeing regional councilors in action,” says council chairperson Paula Southgate, 'and to learn more about the types of issues we deal with.
'The council really welcome and encourage public engagement with, and input into, the issues we're dealing with.”
