McPherson Contractors Limited has started construction of a metalled loop road that will carry construction traffic for the Tauranga Indoor Sports and Exhibition Centre. The entrance is off Truman Lane on the north side of the recycling centre and will loop into the existing road behind the sheds at the rear of the pits area of Baypark Speedway.
When TISEC is near completion, the road will be sealed and used for traffic into and out of both there and Baypark. This will improve the current situation where pedestrians cross the entrance / exit road, clashing with vehicles and causing bottlenecks.
