Mount Maunganui water supplies are back to normal today after one of the Mount reservoir's main supply mains broke early on Tuesday.

The break was beside the 16th fairway at Omanu Golf Club and was caused by contractors who failed to properly re-compact the ground after excavating for power mains, says Omanu Golf Club manager Barry Plank.
City Care repaired the pipe on Tuesday and reservoir levels were restored overnight.
